Cadet – Engineer (Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program)

The Role

This is one of two exciting, engineering Cadetships currently available, in this role the Cadet will support the delivery of the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program (WSIG) to gain experience in investigations, project management and construction and other activities associated with the provisions of engineering services in the Council

About You

You will currently be studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and will have already completed your 3rd year. You will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as your strong analytical and mathematical skills. You will be proactive in your approach to learning and be willing to commit to a 12-month training plan with regular milestones needing to be achieved. You will be open and responsive to feedback and be able to demonstrate your interest in supporting Hawkesbury Council’s purpose ‘To build a Hawkesbury that is loved by its people’.

Essential Criteria

• Must be currently undertaking Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), year 3 already completed
• Available to commence February 17, 2025
• Available to commit to 3-4 days per week
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills and experience
• Time management and professionalism
• Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Class C Drivers Licence
