About the role
Just a 20 minute walk from Chatswood Station or a 10 minute walk from Roseville Station (T1 and T9), the Ku-ring-gai Art Centre is a vibrant hub for creativity and culture, nestled in the leafy suburb of Roseville. The centre offers a wide range of classes and workshops for all ages and skill levels, including visual arts, creative writing, ceramics, and guitar.
The centre's relaxed and peaceful vibe, combined with its beautiful surroundings, makes it an ideal place for both learning and leisure.
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Casual Administration Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the Centre. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is flexible, organised, and eager to contribute to the arts community in a dynamic, creative environment.
Reporting to the Arts & Cultural Coordinator, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide general administrative support, including answering phone calls and responding to emails
- Assist with scheduling events, workshops, and exhibitions
- Handle customer enquiries and provide excellent service to visitors
- Maintain and update office records, supplies, and databases
- Assist with basic financial administration, including invoicing and receipts
- Help with event setup and coordination
- General office tasks as required
Required qualifications, skills and experience:
- Qualifications in Administration and/or extensive relevant experience
- Current Working with Children Check (Paid workers)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams) and bookings systems/programs
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
