Casual School Holiday Program Assistant

 

  • $29.98 per hour + 25% casual loading + super
  • Working with Children Check required
  • Position will commence in July 2025 (School Holidays)

About the role

Are you passionate about working with children and creating memorable holiday experiences? Council is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our School Holiday Program as Program Assistants.

As part of our Vacation Care team, you'll have the opportunity to engage children in a variety of arts, crafts, games, sports, excursions, and educational activities. Our programs are designed to provide a safe, secure, and fun environment where children can learn, grow, and make new friends.

Duties

  • Assist in the planning of the Vacation Care Program
  • Supervise, care for and actively interact with children in a range of activities
  • Provide support to children in a fun, creative and inspiring environment
  • Document children’s play and learning
  • Establish relationships with families, the community, and local schools
  • Prepare and clear away materials as directed

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with children in OOSH Service or Long Day Care
  • Experience providing age relevant activities and the ability to interact well with children
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and families
  • Working with Children clearance number
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Identify and respond to children and young people at risk certificate (CHCPRT001)
