Join our dynamic Community Venues Team based at the Castle Hill Cultural Centre and Pioneer Theatre! You’ll play an important role in assisting with the technical and operational support of Council’s venues on an “as and when needed” basis.

What this role looks like:
• Operates Council’s venues in the delivery of functions, conferences, family gatherings, events, workshops, ceremonies, and general hire related activities.
• Implement risk management plans and ensure venues are operated in accordance with procedures.
• Provide high level of customer service, assist hirers and patrons, and conduct back of house duties.
• Work as part of a floating roster, on as and when needed basis, including weekend and night shifts.
• Provide furniture setup services, technical advice, and assistance to venue hirers as required.
• Provide first aid and emergency warden services at venue as required.

What we are seeking in our new team member:
• Knowledge of contemporary trends and best practice in venue operations.
• Experience in the use of AV equipment and stage management requirements.
• Problem solving mindset.
• Demonstrated customer service skills, including dealing with difficult customers.
• Computer literacy skills, including familiarity with Office 365 (experience in the use of social media is desirable).
• First Aid Certification including CPR (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
