Casual Waste Operator

The Package: $40.51 – $44.77 per hour + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 6 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

In this role you will:

• Operate waste facilities and equipment, drive and maintain Council vehicles, and assist at the Buy Back Centre.
• Assist customers in person, by phone, and via email while handling transactions and record-keeping.
• Follow HSEQ standards to ensure a safe, efficient, and positive work environment.

We are looking for someone who:

• Demonstrates skills in operating and maintaining plant equipment, including driving and maintaining a heavy vehicle as required.
• Accurately handles cash and EFTPOS transactions, and can perform banking tasks.
• Delivers excellent service, provides clear written and verbal communication, and navigates digital tools with ease.
