Our Key Venues section oversees all of our aquatic and leisure centres. We deliver first-class activity and program choices, promote Blacktown City as the leader in sport, recreation and leisure, and give every visitor and customer a safe and memorable experience. Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope is an award-winning multi-purpose facility that offers high-quality programs and services. It includes an indoor aquatic centre with a 25 metre 10 lane lap pool, a wave pool, a program pool, 4 court stadium, 16 plexicushion tennis courts, health and fitness centre, crèche and a function room.
We are looking for motivated and customer focused people to join our team at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope as casual Catering Assistants. An ideal candidate will have basic food preparation/cooking skills and ability to lift up to 20 kgs. as and when required.
Position purpose:
The role includes:
- Maintaining the highest quality of catering service, providing a safe, clean and enjoyable experience for all visitors
- Maintaining all usage and storage of kitchen and servery equipment.

Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Current Working With Children Check
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Availability to work flexible working hours.
Desirable:
- Experience in a similar environment
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current class C driver’s licence.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $28.7521 per hour plus 25% casual loading
- Penalty rates apply for weekend shifts
- Trainee rates apply for applicants under 19 years of age
- Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer superannuation contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport and gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
