The role
We are seeking an energetic and proactive self-starter to join our team as a Centre Operations Supervisor. This key position is responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operations of the Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre, while contributing to a safe, inclusive environment for all staff and visitors. You will be integral to achieving both operational and financial goals through overseeing kiosk operations, managing inventory, coordinating bookings, and leading staff training.
As the Centre Operations Supervisor, you will work closely with the Team Leader and various Council departments to ensure compliance with safety protocols and the highest standards of service.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Provide high level customer service both on a day-to-day basis, as well as through assisting with strategic planning and improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate facility bookings and assist with scheduling to maximize utilisation.
- Collaborate with external vendors, suppliers, and community partners to enhance service delivery and community engagement.
- Assist in supervising team members, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
- Assist with training for new and existing staff to ensure they understand operational procedures, customer service standards, and safety protocols
- Roster management for the Indoor Play Centre.
- Support strategies to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction, which align with the Council's Operational and Community Strategic Plans.

You will have
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Class C Drivers Licence.
- Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive demonstrated previous experience in facility management or the operation of a sports, recreation or leisure Centre
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising and training staff.
- Demonstrated high level planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $80,293 (Grade F, Step1) + 11.5% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
