The role
Are you passionate about helping people adapt to change and thrive in new ways of working? We're looking for a Change Management Specialist to play a pivotal role in supporting our Business Transformation Program.
As a Change Management Specialist, you’ll work closely with the Change Management Lead to drive successful adoption of transformation initiatives. Your focus will be on supporting employees through change by minimising resistance and maximising engagement, usage, and proficiency. This role requires strong communication skills, relationship building, and the ability to support change at all levels of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the application of change management principles, methodologies, and tools aligned with organisational change policies and standards.

Deliver change management support across all phases of the Business Transformation Program.

Assist in the design and implementation of change strategies and plans to drive employee adoption and minimise resistance.

Engage with staff and stakeholders across all levels to ensure change is embraced and sustained.

Work alongside the Change Management Lead to support senior leaders and sponsors in their roles during transitions.
What you'll bring:

Experience supporting organisational change initiatives or transformation programs.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.

A collaborative, proactive approach to solving problems and managing change.

Familiarity with change management frameworks such as Prosci or ADKAR is a plus.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Salary: Commencing salary circa $83,460 p.a. plus superannuation (negotiable based on skills and experience).
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: We are seeking someone for a fixed-term period until June 2026, with possibility for extension (35 hours per week). This role offers flexibility with the option for part-time hours or a job share arrangement.
