  • Salary: $37 - $41 per hour plus 11.5% Super
  • Working in a venue a wide variety of catering offerings.
  • Work at the state-of-the-art Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre
About the role
As Chef, you will work a rotating roster as required, balancing multiple outlets and food requirements, from external catering to restaurant service for show dining and a fully operational café with possible shifts across Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 5:00 am to 11:00 pm. This position is based at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre.

 

Duties
Reporting directly to the Food, Beverage & Events Coordinator, the focus of this position is to:

 

  • Assist in the preparation of catering requirement for the SEC function, which includes assisting with the preparation of food and can include preparation of tables and tableware.
  • Assist in the preparation of catering requirements.
  • Perform all general cleaning duties in the catering areas of the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre
  • Knowledge and compliance with required health standards for the handling of food.
  • Provide courteous and attentive service to all customers, whilst serving meals and refreshments at functions
  • Accept allocated responsibility for and coordinate own work and area.
  • Participate positively in the work team.
  • Identify commercial opportunities for the business unit of the team and communicate these to the Head Chef

 

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

 

  • Certificate II or equivalent qualification in Hospitality/Catering or related field
  • Food handling certificate SITXFSA001 or equivalent certificate
  • Barista trained, equivalent experience or willingness to obtain
  • Class C Driver’s Licence
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • Working With Children Check
