Located 7 kilometres from the CBD, Hunters Hill Council covers a leafy sandstone peninsula at the confluence of the Lane Cove and Parramatta Rivers.  It comprises historic, waterfront residential villages as well as commercial hubs.  Council is now seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO)to join our team.
 
About the role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the CFO has primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial administrative tasks and activities of Council, including the management of any financial risks. This includes direct responsibility for strategic planning, financial innovation, value capture accounting, finance, forecasting, job costing, leveraging external funding sources, deal analysis and negotiations, public and private partnership development and management, investor relationships, leveraging Developer Contributions (DC’s), compliance and private and institutional financing. 
 
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will help shape a strategic vision and inspire an organisational culture that delivers Council’s Long-Term Financial Plan to ensure organisational efficiency.  
 
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified CFO with strong experience working in a similar role.
 
Your strong financial management skills and ability to lead the planning, development and delivery of the long-term financial plan will ensure your success in this position.
