Are you ready to embark on a strategic leadership opportunity in a rapidly evolving organisation?
We are seeking a visionary Chief Information Officer to lead the development, implementation, and management of Council’s Information Technology Strategy. This is an essential and highly influential position where your expertise will play a key role in driving innovation, optimising technology investments, and ensuring operational excellence across the organisation.
As the CIO you will lead the strategic direction and delivery of Council's IT systems and infrastructure, and be at the forefront of implementing secure, efficient and cost-effective technology solutions, ensuring they effectively support operational needs and enhance service delivery.
This leadership position reports directly to the General Manager and acts as a strategic partner to the Executive Leadership Team providing expert advice and guidance. You will drive high performance within the following business units.
- IT Support
- Cybersecurity
- Geographic Information Systems
- Business Improvement

Remuneration
An attractive remuneration package is on offer which will be negotiated with the successful candidate
The Benefits
The Chief Information Officer position is a permanent, full-time role with a 35-hour work week. Council will provide you with the ability to work in a way that suits you best. A leaseback vehicle with full private use is available, along with a 12% superannuation contribution that will increase by 1% each year over the next 3 years to a maximum of 15%. You’ll also enjoy generous leave entitlements, including Long Service Leave after 5 years of service.

About You
To be considered for this opportunity you will need a Degree in Information Technology (or a related field) and significant senior-level experience in managing IT functions. You will be a critical thinker, with the ability to analyse complex IT issues and develop strategic solutions. We are looking for an inspiring leader, with demonstrated skills in building, developing, and motivating high performing teams focusing on delivering quality outcomes and enhancing customer satisfaction.
