Children’s and Youth Librarian
- Permanent Full-Time position 35 Hours per week
- Based at Rockdale Library and outreach across the Bayside Library Network
- Plan and deliver innovative literacy and learning programs and initiatives for children and young people in a collaborative environment
- $95,477 to $106,935 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation

Within the area of responsibility, this role is required to:
- Work with key stakeholders to deliver library initiatives across the Bayside library network that engage the community and promote our libraries.
- Lead a library team and provide advice and support in the delivery of innovative library services to promote literacy and lifelong learning opportunities.
- Create partnerships to support the development of relevant and timely services, programs, and events for young people and families in the Bayside community across the Bayside library network.
- Plan, coordinate, and support the delivery of programs and events for young people (including early literacy and school holiday programs) to engage them in literacy, learning and recreational activities.
- Develop and implement impact evaluation measures for relevant services to provide advise and enhance the delivery of evidence based, innovative library projects.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- Tertiary qualifications or working towards tertiary qualifications recognised by the Australian Library and Information Associate.
- A current Working with Children Check Number.
- Current Driver’s Licence Class C and/or willingness to travel between Bayside Library locations.
- Current First Aid certificate relevant to the role or willingness to obtain.
- You will be required to work rostered desk shifts at all libraries in the Bayside library network as required to deliver exceptional customer service.
