About the role

Are you an experienced professional looking for an exciting opportunity to lead the management of diverse property assets in one of the world’s most vibrant cities? The City of Sydney is undergoing a significant transformational change within Property Services, and we’re seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join our Business Services Team.

 

The City manages a unique and diverse range of assets, including heritage-listed commercial buildings, award-winning libraries, and operationally critical depots. Our portfolio includes over 1,500 property interests worth $2.7 billion, covering assets such as building properties, footway agreements, vacant land, and road interests. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the realisation of our Sustainable Sydney 2030–2050 vision by driving high-performance asset management.

As a Contract Officer, you will:

monitor contract compliance and KPI reports and ensure deadlines and requirements are met by liaising with strategic stakeholders and service providersensure all contract documents are stored correctly and are readily accessible.co-ordinate arrangements for contract meetings between internal and external stakeholders, recording meeting minutes and following up on actions.provide support with financial account management tasks such as invoicing, ordering & reconciling.

 

We’re looking for someone with:

tertiary qualifications in Contract Management, building management or equivalent workplace experiencedemonstrated sound understanding of contract performance and compliance reportingdemonstrated Contract management experience in a similar role within a service-based operation, State or Local government is preferred but not mandatorystrong organisational, reporting and communication skills.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
