About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Production Manager to join the Major Events and Festivals team on a permanent basis.
The Major Events and Festivals team delivers the City's Cultural Plan through a series of large scale, major public and cultural events including Sydney New Year’s Eve, Sydney Lunar Festival, Sydney Christmas, Art & About, and Capital Works launch events.
The primary purpose of the Production Manager is to provide ongoing management and co-ordination of all production, operational, logistical and technical aspects of assigned events within the City’s Major Events and Festivals Program. The exact allocation of Production Managers to each event will be confirmed by the Head of Production prior to each festival season.
We're looking for someone with:
demonstrated experience in major event production, operations, and technical managementproven ability to provide high-level operational support within a dynamic and challenging environmentextensive experience in engaging and managing a wide range of stakeholders, including representatives of external organisations, contractors and suppliers, volunteers and internal departments and staff.
The Production Manager will contribute to a team culture that is creative, courageous, resilient and adaptive to change, with a commitment to good governance and public benefit. You will possess maturity, discretion, sound judgement and the capacity to act autonomously, with demonstrated experience working in a high performing, collaborative team.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
