About the role

Are you an experienced professional looking for an exciting opportunity to plan, coordinate and deliver corporate asset management activities in one of the world’s most vibrant cities? The City of Sydney is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Asset Management System Administrator to coordinate the delivery of the Corporate Asset Management System's long and short-term strategies to support the City's asset management policy and strategic direction and evaluate effectiveness.

 

The City of Sydney is responsible for approximately $15.8 billion in physical assets ($8.8 billion in land and $7 billion in built assets) to support its delivery of services to the community. The City has developed a framework for embedding asset management objectives and principles. These principles are aimed at managing the City's assets to give the best possible long-term services to the City's residents, ratepayers and visitors. 

 

As the Senior Asset Management System Administrator, you will be a leading contributor to the City of Sydney's:

asset management framework, supporting innovations and technologies.corporate asset management system strategy.fit for purpose, integrated and high performing corporate asset management system that has accurate asset registers, effective works planning, predictive modelling and clear reporting of the City’s assets and infrastructure.

 

In doing so, the position actively engages with government, industry stakeholders and business units across the City of Sydney.

 

We’re looking for someone with:

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience.Understanding of policy context and role of local government as it relates to asset management.Experience in the development of policy, strategies, and implementation plans as well as the design, delivery and evaluation of programs in a government or business context.A strong understanding of the principles of effective asset management and the systems.Demonstrated ability and initiative to conceive and manage complex projects involving multiple high-level stakeholders from concept to conclusion.Good ability to reason conceptually, and readily apply new information to make clear and innovative decisions and resolve problems.Demonstrated experience in spatial database and Geographic Information Systems.High level analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to take the initiative in assigned tasks and meet deadlines without supervision.Highly developed oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills.High level customer service skills.High level technical skills in database management and data analysis and Microsoft Applications (Windows, Excel, Access and other programs used by Council).Demonstrate a commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Occupational Health and Safety and Cultural Diversity principles.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
