The City of Sydney has a strong and proud history of leading environmental performance. Under our Sustainable Sydney 2030-2050 plan and Environmental Strategy 2021-2025, we have set out the ways we work with the community, government and industry partners to collectively accelerate action towards net zero by 2035. Our Sustainability Programs Unit is tasked to implement these strategies through the delivery of world-class award winning engagement programs, campaigns, capacity building initiatives and strategic advocacy.
The Sustainability Engagement Coordinator (Residential) will develop and deliver strategic programs to achieve better environmental performance and resilience in residential strata communities.
We are looking for someone to:
Develop, deliver and evaluate programs and advocacy campaigns to drive climate action, sustainability and resilience outcomes in the residential strata sector.Engage with stakeholders to promote continued engagement and leadership in the City’s sustainability programs. Use best practice project management principles to deliver results, utilising procurement and contract management (such as grants management) skills.
The successful candidate will have:
Tertiary qualifications at a degree level in a relevant discipline and/or extensive knowledge of environmental and resilience issues and behaviour change programs.Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of sustainability and/or resilience programs and behaviour change campaigns in the built environment. Experience in monitoring and evaluation (data governance, analysis and insights).Knowledge and understanding of governance, regulation and environmental issues for NSW strata would be desirable.
