About the role

The role of Civic Support Officer is responsible for the provision of timely, effective and high-level administrative support services to the Central Coast Council’s Governance area, with a focus on the effective and efficient operation of Council’s meetings. This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate III qualification in Business Administration or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development
  • Current class C Driver license
  • Demonstrated ability to participate and actively contribute in a team environment within a diverse, medium to large, organisation 
  • Demonstrated recent experience in administrative position, including electronic document management processes, accurate typing skills (minimum 60 words per minute), minute taking, meeting preparation, strong attention to detail
  • Strong customer service ethos and a demonstrated customer-centric approach to service provision both verbally and in writing with staff and the public
  • Ability to complete work and deliver according to project schedules and deadlines, including willingness and ability to attend evening meetings (a minimum of 2 evening meetings per month)
  • Demonstrated extensive experience working in an environment dealing with issues of a confidential nature
  • Demonstrated experience in consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position ranges between $72k to $86k pa (dependent on skills and experience) plus 11.5% superannuation 
  • We have a permanent full-time role available 
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role 
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
