About the Role

The City of Ryde has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Administrator to join the Civic Services team within our Business Assurance and Governance Unit.

The Civic Support Officer position is part of a team providing critical support services to Councillors and senior staff. Your key duties will encompass Agenda preparation and minute taking at Council and Committee meetings, Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee meetings as well as adhoc secretariat duties.  Other duties will include updating databases, monitoring of Council resolutions, letter and report writing.  As part of your role, you will also have a focus on continuous improvement.

 

About You

You have a strong administrative background in a secretarial or administrative role for a large organisation and extensive experience in minute taking, meeting procedures, preparing meeting agendas and recording minutes of a meeting.

In addition, you will also have:

  • High School Certificate and TAFE level qualifications in a relevant field
  • Experience delivering outstanding customer service to members of staff at all levels
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Excellent research skills
  • Competency in Microsoft suites, with advanced typing skills
  • Ability to time manage and prioritise responsibilities with a tight deadline

Your commencing annual salary will range from $95,322 to $107,237 + Superannuation dependent on your experience and qualifications.
