About the opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our Civil Asset Maintenance team on a permanent, full-time basis. Our team carries out a varied range of operational and capital works within our road reserve, waterways and reserves.
You will have contractor management skills, be adept at using computers, and able to look at issues with a holistic approach for providing recommendations. This role will help formulate strategies to maintain Council's civil infrastructure at the highest service standards, and from time to time assist in the implementation of the infrastructure asset improvement programs.
An ideal candidate will liaise with customers, and the community as required. If you believe you have the right skill set and like working with a high performing team, then this is the role for you!
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Trade qualification or Certificate IV in a related field
- Extensive experience in the application of skills in all aspects of the job
- Solid knowledge of application of skills in complex areas of the job
- Demonstrated communication skills when responding to internal and external customers
- Current class C driver's licence.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,730.04 per week, plus an additional 10.32% in accordance with Council's flexibility agreement
- 41-hour working week
- Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
- Leaseback vehicle
