About the Role
As a Road Service Worker Trainee, you’ll be part of a knowledgeable team constructing and maintaining roads, bridges, and culverts across the Narrabri Shire. You’ll receive on-the-job training while completing your Certificate III in Civil Construction. In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with road construction and maintenance activities.
- Learning to operate and maintain small plant and hand tools.
- Participating in traffic management, signage maintenance, and drainage works.
- Developing skills in road patching, concreting, and weed spraying under supervision.
- Completing documentation like pre-start checklists and timesheets.

About You
We’re looking for motivated individuals with a passion for working outdoors and a keen interest in civil construction.
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Be eager to learn new skills and undertake formal training.
- Have the ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and good communication skills.
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a NSW Class C Driver Licence and a General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
