About the position

Reporting directly to the General Manager - Works, the Civil Works Manager is a key member of a collaborative and forward-thinking Senior Management team. This role is responsible for driving initiatives that align with the organisation’s strategic objectives while enhancing and strengthening its Civil infrastructure.

This pivotal role is ideal for an experienced leader with a strong background in Civil infrastructure. You will oversee operations within the Council’s Civil works section, ensuring statutory and community needs are met. Key responsibilities include implementing corporate and operational plans, optimising capability, ensuring accountability, transparency, and probity, overseeing planning and operations, meeting legislative and compliance requirements, and delivering effective outcomes for the Council, staff, and the community.

Portfolio areas include Civil Construction & Maintenance, Parks & Open Spaces and Works programs streams.

About you

You are a dedicated and results-driven professional with a passion for delivering and sustaining Civil infrastructure projects. You excel at managing teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and overcoming challenges to meet project objectives. Your strong technical knowledge, combined with exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, ensures that you deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
