Business Unit: Waste Management & Cleansing

Title: Cleansing Operator, Permanent - Full-time Role, 38 hours per week

Salary Range: $59938.67 to $69658.27 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience). Relevant weekend penalties apply.

Northern Beaches Council is currently implementing its new Waste and Circular Economy Strategy which includes a broad spectrum of waste management services and projects including domestic waste collection, community facilities development, events, education and workshops. Waste Services is also actively involved in the review of development applications to ensure we are building new residential developments for future sustainability.

Our opportunity:

The key focus areas of this role include: 

  1. Ensure scheduled and ad-hoc cleansing related duties are carried out and meets appropriate standards, following direction and expectations set out by the business unit.
  2. Assist and support Supervisors and Coordinators as well as other senior management teams within Council to meet business objectives and goals.
  3. To perform all duties to best practice principles in keeping with Council’s commitment to excellent customer service and demonstrating Council values on all levels.

We’re looking for an organised and proactive team player to join our Public Waste & Cleansing Team. You’ll bring strong hands-on experiences and communications skills to a team passionate about making a difference to our community.
