Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef – Bellbird Bar & Dining

1 x Permanent Full Time - 38 hours, 5 days per week (over a 7-day bandwidth)

Salary: $62,703.43 to $67,881.49 + 11.5% super

Location: Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre

Bellbird Restaurant and Bar is an award-winning restaurant located within Casula Powerhouse Arts

Centre located within Western Sydney. The restaurant was established in 2018 and has since become a

much-loved and revered institution within South West Sydney. Led by Cordon-Bleu-trained head chef

Federico Rekowski, Bellbird is nestled within the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre and embodies modern

Australian cuisine, highlighting locally sourced ingredients and seasonal produce.

 

The restaurant prides itself in innovative culinary techniques, exceptional service and a welcoming

atmosphere. As an part of the Bellbird team, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside a passionate

The successful applicant will have:

  • Certificate IV or Diploma Level in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience).
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Minimum one year’s experience as a Chef in a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
  • A demonstrated passion for the food industry and service to customers.
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Literacy and numeracy appropriate to the position.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
