Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people?
Orange City Council is seeking dedicated individuals to join our dynamic team as Casual Community Development and Support Workers. This is your chance to be a part of an organization that is committed to serving and enhancing the lives of our community's youth.
What will you be doing?
In these roles you will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of various youth projects, programs and activities. Your daily tasks will include:
- Organising and setting up materials and participating in the activities
- Engaging and communicating effectively with young people
- Liaising with relevant service providers
- Assisting with Council’s Pathfinders Program
- Assisting with maintaining statistics and records and undertaking general administration duties as required
So what do you need?
To be successful in these positions you will need:
- A valid Class C driver’s licence
- NSW Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain before starting)
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory Criminal Background Check
Ideally you will also have previous experience in assisting with the delivery of community events, programs, activities and projects, as well as excellent communication skills and an interest in working with young people from diverse backgrounds.
