We are looking for a dedicated arts professional to foster creativity and cultural engagement in our thriving community. In this role, you will collaborate with artists at all career stages, manage exhibitions, workshops, and residencies, and oversee our diverse art collections.

As a key member of the Community Capacity Building team, you’ll be responsible for driving arts and cultural initiatives within the City. You’ll ensure the Rockingham Arts Centre is a well-utilised space with high-quality exhibitions and programs. Your expertise in Art Collection management will assist to guide public art projects and manage the City’s art assets. In addition, you’ll oversee curatorial contracts and collaborate on various culture and arts projects that contribute to the vibrancy of the community.
Please note: This role involves weekend and evening work, as well as manual handling of equipment and materials. Candidates must be capable of lifting and moving items up to 20kg.
WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:
- A gross salary of $87,585 per annum
- Option to work a 19 day month or a 9 day fortnight
- Flexible working arrangements
- Two additional paid days of leave per annum

- 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%

Selection criteria
- Demonstrated experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating arts-related programs and activities that build capacity of local artists and arts groups.
- Demonstrated experience in managing exhibitions, workshops and residency programs and collaborating with artists at various stages in their career.
- Proven experience in contract management, service agreement oversight, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong experience in art collection management and public art commissions.
