We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Community Property Assistant to join our Programming & Operations team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and demonstrate a commitment to effective communication in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised, and passionate about contributing to the community through exceptional support in property management.
The successful candidate will be a reliable team player with a customer-first approach.
About the Opportunity
- Permanent, Full-Time (70 hours per fortnight)
- Salary range of $73,331.53 - $84,965.51 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation (dependant on the skills, qualifications and relevant experience of the suitable candidate)

Key Accountabilities
- Assist in the management of all Council leases and licences for community properties and others as directed
- Assist with property and administration transactions including leases, licences, expressions of interest, financial, record keeping - ensuring transactions comply with relevant legislation including Local Government Act, Crown Land Management, Native Title Act, and NSW Department of Planning and Environment
- Assist with the implementation of the Georges River Council Community Property Strategy Action Plan
- Provide excellent customer service to external customers including responding to community property enquiries and complaints verbally and in writing
- Provide excellent customer service to internal customers including responding to queries verbally and in writing, providing documentation and sourcing advice
- Other duties as directed by the Community Property Officer, Coordinator Programming and Operations, Manager City Life and Director Community and Culture
What we are looking for
- TAFE certificate in secretarial or administration, or equivalent qualification or experience
- Driving Licence Class C
- Demonstrated experience in administration and/or property sector, ideally in the management of property asset portfolios and/or in property development
- Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office Applications
- Excellent customer service skills including ability to handle complaints
- Excellent problem solving and negotiating skills
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Desirable
- Relevant Local Government experience.
- Demonstrated competency in TechOne, NearMap, Intramaps.
- Experience and exposure to project management.
- Demonstrated experience in booking software such as Bookable.
