Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Community Services Worker to join the team at Orana Living!

  • Weekly pay cycle 
  • Salary $33.41 per hour plus applicable penalty rates 

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role involves providing direct support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them with daily activities and fostering the development of independent living skills and goals. It also includes contributing to the effective management of the day-to-day operations of a supported residential unit and life skills center, ensuring alignment with Orana Living's mission, objectives, policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

ABOUT YOU 

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and or qualifications 

  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Drivers Licence Class C / or Current Class C Provisional Licence
  • Empathy for working with and for people with a disability
  • Certificate III Community Services Disabilities (Aged Care or Home Care) or commitment to obtain within 24 months of appointment
  • Ability to understand and commit to the day to day needs of persons with an intellectual and physical disability.
