As the Compliance Officer at the Dubbo Regional Livestock Markets (DRLM), you’ll lead small projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee
vital aspects of animal welfare. This is the perfect opportunity for someone

You'll find growth through:

  • Monitoring effluent management, biosecurity requirements, positive animal welfare interactions and the DRLM's NSQA accreditation
  • Liaising with facility users to build positive stakeholder relationships and achieve positive outcomes for the facility, users and Council
  • Ensuring the effective provision of record keeping service in accordance with licence agreements
  • Ensuring regular maintenance checks are undertaken, including the water supply and effluent disposal system
  • Ensuring the adopted risk management procedures are observed by employees, contractors and users at all times


What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate II in Agriculture or Certificate II Animal Welfare for saleyards or relevant compliance experience
  • Saleyards animal welfare experience
  • Experience in bookkeeping
  • Solid understanding of the concepts, principles and practical applications of animal husbandry and business operations
  • Good communication skills and ability to negotiation and facilitate practical solutions
  • Hold a firearms licence or demonstrated ability to obtain
  • Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office Programs including MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook

We would also love you to have:

  • Working knowledge of EPA/biosecurity requirements in relation to livestock markets

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $65,812 to $76,484.
