1 X Permanent, Full Time - 35 hours, 5 days per week
Salary: $78,076.79 to $85,552.19 + 11.5% super
Closing Date: 28th February 2025

Council has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven Contracts Officer, that is looking for a challenging and satisfying role that supports staff and key stakeholders.

About the Role:

The Contracts Officer supports and assists with the administration and management of Council’s contracts to ensure the business is delivering its obligations to the organisation, key stakeholders and external customers. The role supports best practice procurement and contract management activities, in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993 and the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021.

The position reports to the Contracts Lead and sits under the Strategic Procurement and Contracts Team. It is a fast-paced role within a dynamic work environment which positively contributes to our people and community.

About You:

The desired candidate will be highly motivated, and process-driven, with high attention to detail. You will have experience in managing high volume of priorities and exposure to the execution and administration of contracts.

 

The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their competency in the following essential areas:

·         Appropriate tertiary qualifications relevant to procurement or contracting, and/or relevant work experience in a procurement/contract role.

  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation and administration of contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing procurement and contracts advice and guidance to clients on tendering and contract processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in the effective application of contract and procurement policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993 (and associated regulations) and its application to procurement procedures and practices.
  • Hold a Class C Drivers Licence.
