About the role
Are you a financial management expert with a knack for leadership? Join us as our Coordinator Accounting! You will lead a small but fantastic team across a wide range of financial operations to your many City customers.
A snapshot of your role
- Lead and supervise financial management and other related operations.
- Build a cohesive and thriving team.
- Ensure all relevant compliance is complete in line with legislation, policies and procedures.
- Coordinator daily financial operations and provide expert advice in this space.
- Oversee insurance functions, statutory returns and external audits.
- Optimise investment portfolio returns.
- Develop lasting stakeholder relationships across the City.

What we’re looking for:
- A people first approach, you will understand the people who make the business work, not just in your team but the wider Finance team.
- Above all else, you will foster and champion the benefit of having lasting team relationships and you will do it with a level of care and kindness.
- You will understand where your business function assists the City’s with its broader strategic financial vision.
- You are naturally a leader, you will be able to link multi-disciplinary projects and teams together and keep them integrated with one another and on track.
- You will have demonstrated experience in a financial accounting and statutory compliance role with leadership responsibilities.
- CA, CPA (or working towards) or equivalent Accounting qualification.
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, commerce or other relevant discipline.
- Whilst we’d love some Technology One experience, what we’d love more is someone with the ability to work and adapt with an established system (i.e. you are able to see where systems can work to your advantage!)
