Your Role in the Team

As the Coordinator - Bushland Conservation you will be responsible for planning and managing the daily operations of bushland management, invasive species control, and nursery activities. In this role, you will coordinate works to ensure they are carried out effectively, efficiently, and safely, adhering to Council policies and legislative requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include leading internal teams and volunteers, developing work schedules and programs, providing technical support for bushland maintenance, and managing grants and budgets. Additionally, you will oversee contractor performance and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, bush regeneration, or related fields, with proven experience in leadership and team management. You will possess excellent organisational skills and have strong experience in overseeing safety practises and maintaining compliance with environmental regulations.

  • Diploma (or nearing completion) in Environmental Science / Bush Regeneration, Natural Resources.
  • WHS Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).
  • NSW Class C Drivers Licence
  • Ability to create work schedules, manage budgets, and deliver projects within set timelines
  • Strong communication and people skills are essential, enabling you to empower your team and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

  • Package: $104,000 - $119,000 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation. In addition, an award vehicle allowance of $10,780 gross p.a will be paid. (Salary will be paid based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate)
  • Hours of work: Permanent Full Time Position. 38 hours per week 9 day fortnight.
