We are seeking an experienced and professional Community Development Coordinator with a passion for teamwork.

In this role here are some of the accountabilities:

Coordinate and facilitate the provision and development of social support activities designed to meet the needs of the local community.

• Coordinate a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective and efficient service provision across a range of community programs and services.
• Prepare quality reports and documentation, as relevant to Advisory Groups and Council functions, this includes but is not limited to the Access and Inclusion Advisory Group.
• Lead and undertake appropriate community engagement to inform the delivery of wellbeing initiatives, events, programs and projects relevant to the Shire demographics.
• Administer community development activities in accordance with legislative and contractual requirements, allocated budget, quality assurance standards and Councils risk management profiles.

Our preferred candidate would be able to demonstrate the following skillset:

• Qualifications in Community Development or a related field.
• Experience in leading and mentoring teams, including volunteers and staff, to achieve community development goals.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with community groups, government agencies, businesses, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrated understanding of contemporary community development principles.
