About the role

Do you have experience in procurement and contract management?
Do you understand the planning and foresight required to stock appropriate inventory item mix and quantity to meet the needs of a vast array of projects?
Does coordinating several teams to ensure that plant and fleet whole-of-lifecycle costs are not only captured and measured, but adequately serviced, maintained and replaced for optimal value appeal to you?

If you have answered yes to any of the above, the Coordinator Fleet & Procurement position might be a good fit for you!

Council is bound by strict and transparent tendering guidelines and processes which are diverse and ever changing. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to understand the complex rules and regulations, stay up to date with industry changes and templates and succinctly summarise and communicate to the rest of the organisation.

To be considered for this position you will need to:

You will need to demonstrate how you meet the focus capabilities and how your skills will enable you to achieve the key accountabilities.
  • Target questions - answer the 2 target questions - maximum 300 words each question
    Q1. How have you enabled a team made up of people from different work areas, to discuss issues and develop solutions? What did you do and what was the result?
    Q2. Give an example of a tender or contract process you were involved in? What was the situation? What was your involvement? How did you monitor the process?

Other important information

This position is located at Council's Rushforth Road Works Depot, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.

A probation period applies to this position.
