As a Coordinator Parks Maintenance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our parks, gardens, and reserves. Your leadership will ensure our green spaces are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
Your Role in the Team
As the Coordinator Parks Maintenance, you will take charge of the daily operations essential for the upkeep and enhancement of our open spaces. You will lead internal teams and contractors while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and Council policies. Your strategic oversight will help deliver maintenance services on time and within budget, all while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Manage and motivate a specialist team to align with Council’s goals.
- Encourage innovative approaches to enhance service delivery for our community.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to workplace safety laws and policies.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with community groups, contractors, and government agencies.
- Support the professional development of your team through feedback and mentorship.

- Diploma (or currently obtaining) in Horticulture, Leadership, Management, Project Management, or similar.
- Trade qualifications in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens, Turf Management, or related fields.
- Experience leading teams and overseeing safety protocols.
- Strong skills in budget management and project oversight.
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and policies effectively.

- Package: $104,000 - $119,000 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation. In addition, an award vehicle allowance of $10,780 gross p.a will be paid. (Salary will be paid based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate)
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time Position. 38 hours per week 9 day fortnight.
