Role Overview
The Coordinator Program Management Office plays a vital role in overseeing the successful delivery of Council’s capital projects, which include Transport, Open Space, Waterways and Catchments and Buildings infrastructure. This position is pivotal in coordinating project management processes, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting, and developing robust tools and systems for budget management and progress tracking.
Your responsibilities will also encompass implementing and refining the Project Management Framework for the Infrastructure Directorate, reviewing current project delivery processes, and making strategic recommendations for improvement. As a leader, you will oversee a specialised team, facilitate communication between project teams and senior stakeholders, and ensure compliance with workplace safety and procurement policies.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a strategic thinker with a strong background in managing infrastructure projects who is capable of fostering effective relationships and driving team performance.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction, commerce, project management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven experience in government procurement, change management, and infrastructure project/program management.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on fostering positive working relationships.
Your ability to think critically and innovate will be essential as you contribute to the successful delivery of projects and long-term planning for the Council’s infrastructure needs. - Package: $113,000 - $125,000 gross p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation. (Salary will be paid based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate)
- Hours of work: Permanent Full Time 35 hours per week with option of 19 day month flexitime arrangement
