Description

The Package: $104,586 - $115,562 salary per annum + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 16 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Full-time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply.

Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for efficient record management? Council is looking for a leader with great organisational skills to guide our Records team and ensure that our internal customers are well supported, and our records are well-organised, easily accessible and securely managed.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Records Management team.
  • Ensure recordkeeping systems and Council staff follow quality control procedures.
  • Oversee the storage, disposal and transfer of records in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Develop and deliver staff training programs on Council's record management systems, ensuring alignment with policies and procedures.
  • Implement ongoing improvements to our Records Management Systems to support internal customers

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has great organisational skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses relevant qualifications in records and information management and/or substantial experience in a similar role.
  • Has proven expertise in managing Electronic Document and Records Management Systems such as TechnologyOne ECM and iFerret.
  • Has comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and procedures relevant to recordkeeping in a local government environment.
  • Has a proven ability to effectively manage people and resources.
