We are seeking an experienced and professional Recreation Services Coordinator with a passion for teamwork.

In this role here are some of the accountabilities:

• Coordinate and facilitate the development and provision of sport and recreational project and program development initiatives to meet the needs of the local sporting and recreational community.
• Coordinate recreation partnerships for service delivery in the Shire.
• Ensure that work output and methods are achieving the Shire's vision within the Strategic Community Plan and other relevant informing strategic documentation, and facilitate delivery of key recommendations from strategic documents, within the functions of Sport and Recreation.
• Coordinate the Equine Officer and Grants and Projects Officer positions.
• Be an active participant in the Community Engagement Directorate regarding identification, development and delivery of projects and activities.
• Participate in the coordination and delivery of Local Emergency Management processes, where relevant to the establishment of Welfare Centres and community recovery requirements.
• Manage funded programs such as the Every Club Program, Kidsport Scheme and Volunteer Recognition activities.
• Assist in the development of recreation services funding applications and coordinate significant projects and program requirement identified in the Shire's Long Term Financial Plan (LTFP).

Our preferred candidate would be able to demonstrate the following skillset:

• Qualifications in sport, recreation, leisure or community planning and development.
• Experience in leading and mentoring teams, to achieve community development goals.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with community groups, government agencies, businesses, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrated understanding of contemporary community development principles.
