Responsible for coordinating the delivery of a high quality and cost effective integrated asset management framework, you will be supported by a small team of professionals.  Together you will ensure that asset management policies, strategies and plans are developed, communicated and implemented to ensure accurate and appropriate reporting, system improvement and asset performance are achieved. Ultimately, along with your team and key stakeholders, you will ensure that the City’s asset management maturity journey continues in a well-planned and timely manner.

You possess highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written, with proven experience managing a team to achieve strong results. You possess advanced knowledge in infrastructure and asset management systems and databases, and have a strong understanding of the technical aspects of asset management at both a strategic and operational level.  A current and valid ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence is essential for this role.

  1. Strong leadership abilities and team building skills
  2. Extensive knowledge of strategic asset management systems and databases
  3. Advanced knowledge of strategic asset management principles, techniques and legislation
  4. High level project management skills to ensure timely completion and documentation of projects
  5. Excellent computer literacy and a highly developed knowledge of computer applications
  6. Highly developed verbal communication, interpersonal and report writing skills
  7. Demonstrated experience in facilitation, consultation and negotiation to achieve desired outcomes
  8. Extensive experience in strategic asset management related role
  9. Highly developed financial management, estimating and budgetary skills
  10. Sound knowledge of Local Government Act 1995 (WA) and state legislation
  11. Degree in either Asset Management, Civil Engineering, Geographical Information Systems, Surveying or equivalent industry experience

This position offers a gross salary from $111,935 to $119,348 per annum (depending on knowledge and skill) incorporating all allowances and penalty rates, and:

  • 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
