Reporting to the Manager Technical Services, this role is responsible for leading a team in assessing, designing and resolving the City’s strategic and current road capacity, utilisation and safety issues.

With a focus on providing direction and support for the team, the role also encompasses leading projects, facilitating consultation, meeting financial reporting requirements, delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining safe and compliant work practices.

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:

  • Strong leadership abilities and team building skills
  • Extensive knowledge of road and traffic management principles and application

This position offers an annual salary of $111,935 to $119,348 and:

  • 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
  • Maintained vehicle provided
  • A variety of health and wellbeing programs - physical health reimbursement subsidy payment of up to $150 per annum, free flu vaccinations, free skin cancer checks, mental health programs and Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) services
  • Flexible working arrangements, including rostered days off and two additional paid days of absence per annum
