About the role:

The Leisure facilities team focus on the delivery of customer centric services and programs that meet the health and well being needs of Campbelltown’s growing population. 

We are seeking passionate and customer focused Crèche Attendants with experience in caring for children and promoting suitable centre programs and activities.

As a Crèche Attendant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing excellent customer service and have positive and professional rapport with children and their parents/carers.
  • Provide supervision to children in the crèche.
  • Ensure ratios of attendants and children are maintained.
  • Promoting centre programs and activities to program participants.
  • To implement and evaluate activities in accordance with Council’s childcare and child health policies.
  • To set up and pack away equipment utilised for the crèche and ensure cleanliness is maintained.
  • Responsible for monitoring bookings and payments for crèche activities and recording attendance and usage of crèche activities.
  • To ensure all OHS and Risk Management requirements are met.
  • To input data relating to crèche records as required.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:

  • A current Resuscitation Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Knowledge of activity programming for children.
  • Possess a current cleared Working With Children Check with Services NSW.
  • Experiencing in minding children between the ages of 0 – 5 years in a childcare environment.
  • The ability to work in a team environment.
  • Positive and professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • For our permament roles - availability for split shifts (morning and evening) is essential. Approximate hours are 8am - 12pm, 3:30pm - 7pm (Mon - Fri) and 8am - 12pm (Sat). Applicants unable to work both mornings and evening should not apply for the permanent role.
