About the role
This is a permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm position working 35 hours per week. This position is located at the Shoalhaven Memorial Gardens, Worrigee.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Bereavement Administration Coordinator, the focus of this position is to:

In accordance with the organisational values and cemetery licensing requirements, provide a high level of Customer Service by:

  • Undertaking chapel concierge duties, including
    • Liaise with Funeral Director and families, ensuring understanding service requirements
    • Downloading, verification and programing of music and audio-visual displays
    • Adherence to customer requirements for funeral service delivery
    • Preparation of chapel for service
    • Ensuring web services (live streaming) are scheduled and functioning
    • Ensure accurate records are completed.
    • Liaise with Cemetery Attendant for burial or cremation at conclusion of service
  • Coordination of the various services offered to customers, taking payments, appointment bookings
  • Providing professional guidance and assistance in the selection of memorial and burial site provision
  • Following up documentation and details with stakeholders and families, ensuring accurate completion in accordance with legislation prior to service provision.
  • Dealing with general enquiries
  • Managing and escalating customer complaints with empathy and resilience where required

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

  • Certificate IV in Office Administration and / or equivalent skills and experience
  • Class C Driver’s Licence
  • Current NSW WorkCover accredited First Aid Certificate
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
