Customer Service Officer

 

  • Salary $68,114.80 to $79,012.96 p/a + super
  • Permanent full time position – 35 hours per week

About Ku-ring-gai Council

Located 16 km’s north of the Sydney CBD, the Ku-ring-gai area covers 84km2, is home to 124,000 residents and set in one of New South Wales’ most attractive natural environments.

 

About the role

Reporting to the Customer Service Coordinator, this role will see you be the first point of contact for all council related enquiries, ensuring an effective frontline service to Ku-ring-gai residents and customers.

 

Duties

  • Answer enquires from the public in a helpful and friendly manner
  • Communicate with the public via mail, live chat, phone, face to face and social media
  • Accurately register and record customer requests, applications and bookings using Content Manager (TRIM) and Technology One
  • Escalate enquiries as appropriate
  • Perform cashiering duties
  • Rotate between all sections of Customer Service where required

 

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • Certificate III in Telecommunications (Call Centre) or experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Local Government experience desirable but not essential
