Title: Debt Recovery and Collections Specialist, Permanent - Full-time Role, 35 hours per week
Salary Range: $89907.72 to $104487.69 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

Our opportunity :
The key focus areas of this role include:
- Monitoring unpaid rates accounts and other accounts receivable and liaising with ratepayers, customers, Council’s Business Units and debt recovery agents in a positive and proactive way in order to provide effective and efficient collection of overdue accounts.
- Coordinating Council’s debt recovery procedures in accordance with Council policies, Local Government legislation and Civil Procedures legislation in order to maintain both rates and other accounts receivable at a level acceptable to Council’s management.
- Managing the relationship with Council’s debt recovery agents in accordance with Council’s procurement requirements to ensure that they carry out their work to Council’s satisfaction and in accordance with contractual obligations.

This position is vital in supporting Council's financial sustainability through proactive debt recovery strategies while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and council policies.
