About the role
Clarence Valley Council is seeking an experienced Digital Media Officer to implement digital communications that contribute to delivering Council’s services and creating a region full of opportunity.
The role will require somebody with proven digital experience and the ability to execute end-to-end digital strategies and tactics that drive awareness and engagement across a diverse range of projects and audiences. No two days will be the same and will require new ideas for innovative and creative digital content that is simple, informative, and factual.
Using a data-driven approach, the ideal candidate will have ability to monitor trends and report on digital analytics to inform future recommendations for digital tactics and content improvements that enhance the digital customer experience. It will require somebody who is comfortable applying creativity and analytical skills to test new ideas and drive continual improvement. This role requires somebody who knows how to grow digital channels and increase ongoing reach and engagement to ensure message cut-through with a diverse and geographically dispersed audience. This role will also support internal communications, contributing to making Council the best place to work.
The ideal candidate will be resilient, communicate effectively, plan and prioritise work and comfortable using technology to find smart solutions. Highly desirable will be the ability to support technical development of the website in partnership with our IT team or externals consultants.

Q1 Provide an example of a digital campaign that you have delivered across multiple channels. How do you measure digital effectiveness and use this to make recommendations for improvement.
Q2 Outline your experience and any programs that you have worked with to manage website content.

This position is located at Council's Grafton office, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.
A probation period applies to this position.
