- Be part
of our customer focused library team, who provide exceptional service to our
diverse communities - Hourly
rate of $40.06 - $47.57 + 11.5% Superannuation + Weekend Penalty Rates - 28 hours
per week - Four days
during weekdays (days of work to be negotiated), with a rostered Saturday shift (11:00 am to 4:00 pm) every 8 to 10 weeks.

Your
Position:
This
position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the transformation of Burwood's
library services and make a meaningful impact on our community's digital
literacy and engagement.
You will
be instrumental in developing and delivering the digital library. You will
design and implement innovative programs and training to help staff and our
communities enhance their digital skills and increase the use of digital
resources. Additionally, you will oversee digital communication with our
communities through social media, eNewsletters, and the library website.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Developing and overseeing the library's digital collection, including budgeting to ensure the efficient maintenance of digital services.
- Enhancing and sustaining the visibility of resources and services through social media platforms and the library's website
- Supporting staff and customers in using digital services and digital devices.
- Creating and implementing innovative digital experiences and technology-enhanced learning programs tailored to community needs. Evaluating the learning outcomes of these initiatives and prepare management reports on their impact on the community.
- Supporting the Information Technology Librarian in the maintenance of the Library’s integrated library system and related technologies
- Delivering high-quality circulation and reference services to customers.
- Serve as a liaison between the Library and digital resource suppliers, representing Burwood Library in digital content consortia.
- Collaborating within the Library and Community Hub team to ensure delivery of high-quality customer experiences through outstanding customer service, information and advice regarding the Burwood Library and Community Hub services, programs, activities and events.
- Participating in the service point roster system, including evening and weekend work and perform the role of shift supervisor, as required.
To be
successful in this role, you will have:
- Degree in
Library & Information Services recognised by ALIA and minimum three years’
relevant work experience - Demonstrated experience in the provision of high
quality information and digital services, preferably in a public library. - Demonstrated experience in digital and print
resource management - Demonstrated proficiency in existing digital
technologies, including social media, web design, web maintenance and other web
based tools - Demonstrated
high-level organisational and interpersonal skills including the ability to
think critically and analytically. - Superior communication and interpersonal skills
including verbal, written, training and presentation skills.
Key Requirements:
- Current
and valid Working With Children Check. - Willingness
to complete a pre-employment health assessment. - COVID-19
vaccination (minimum 2 doses).
