Shoalhaven City Council is seeking an experienced and innovative leader to take on the role of Director City Performance. This position is a unique opportunity to guide a broad portfolio with a strong focus on corporate services and strategic outcomes. Located in Nowra, the Shoalhaven region offers a lifestyle that blends professional achievement with the beauty of pristine beaches, rich cultural heritage, and vibrant communities.
As the Director City Performance, you will lead a multi-faceted directorate responsible for corporate finance, long-term financial planning, IT and smart cities innovation, procurement, and customer service strategy. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and collaborating closely with Councillors, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the delivery of the Council’s Community Strategic Plan and driving excellence in service to the community.
This role is ideal for a strategic and innovative leader with a strong background in corporate services or financial management. You’ll bring a collaborative leadership style, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to inspire high-performing teams. Experience in local government or similarly complex organisations is highly regarded.
Tertiary qualifications in finance, governance, or a related field are highly regarded, and prior experience in Local Government is desirable but not essential.
An attraction remuneration package includes vehicle component, base salary, and superannuation.
