About Children’s Services
Inner West Council operates 11 Long Day Care Centres, 2 Out of School Hours Care, an Occasional Care service, a Pre-School and a Family Day Care network. We currently have multiple vacancies for qualified Early Childhood Teachers to join our professional and friendly Early Learning Services team.
Our educators take pride in their Early and Middle Childhood Education profession. We adhere to the guidelines, practices and regulations surrounding the National Quality Standards (NQS) and regularly review Quality Improvement Plans and are implementing the Self Assessment Tool. We strive for excellence and all our centres are meeting or exceeding the NQF standards as rated by ACECQA.

Our Early Childhood Teachers are accountable for supporting the Nominated Supervisor in the day-to-day running of the Education and Care Service, leading, inspiring, motivating and supporting other educators and staff, planning, programming, and implementing a caring, safe, and enriching learning environment for children, developing quality partnerships with children, families, colleagues, and the wider community

$81,399.24 - $94,767.92 + 11.5% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
- University Degree (or equivalent) in Early Childhood Education
- Experience as an active and collaborative educator for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, with sound working knowledge of child development, positive behaviour guidance techniques and strategies for children
- Proven ability to apply knowledge and evidence of the following:
a. Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance
b. Identify and Respond to Children at Risk of Harm Statement of Attainment or enrolled and working towards completion of the course
c. Child Protection and Mandatory Reporters requirements and guidelines
d. Accreditation with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), either proficient or provisional rating
e. Current First Aid Certificate including emergency management of asthma and anaphylaxis, or willingness to undertake the course - Willingness to undertake role of Responsible Person under the National Education and Care Services Regulations as required
- Ability to undertake the role of Educational Leader when required by the Nominated Supervisor or Approved Provider delegates
