About Us:
Gwydir Day Care and Preschool have been operating for over 30 years, supporting the parents of Moree Plains Shire by offering a safe and nurturing environment for children to develop and grow. Owned and managed by Moree Plains Shire Council, our centre has fantastic facilities to support a wide range of interests, offering play-based learning and engaging educational activities for children from 8 weeks up to 5 years.
To meet the demands of our ever-growing community, we are now on the lookout for an Early Childhood Teacher to join our team on a part-time or full-time up to (38hrs per week).

Reporting to the Manager and Assistant Manager of Gwydir Day Care and Preschool, your key responsibility is to provide high-quality early childhood education and care to our Preschool Room.
Your core duties will fall within the following themes:
- Educational program focussed on School readiness and practice
- Children’s health and safety
- Physical environment
- Staffing arrangements
- Relationship with children
- Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
- Leadership and service management
Note: Working hours Monday - Friday 8:45AM - 3:15PM.

Who are we looking for?
- An educator who has completed or working towards completing a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood).
- A passionate individual who has the skills to develop a creative and stimulating program based on the needs and interests of the children in our preschool room.
- A highly empathetic and caring individual with the ability to build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including your team members and the families and children in our preschool room.
- A genuine team player and fantastic multitasker who is passionate about the growth and development of our preschool classroom.

Please note: It is essential that you hold, or be willing to obtain, a First Aid Certificate and current NSW Working with Children Check.
Additional requirements include:
- First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain
- Ability to use a range of basic computer programs, e.g. Microsoft Office
- Genuine passion for fostering the growth and development of young children
