About the opportunity

We are currently seeking to fill 2 x permanent, full-time Early Childhood Teacher positions. The nature of this position requires for the employee to travel between services (Floating ECT) if you're not able to travel between our services, you may not need apply.
We are seeking those who are dedicated to inspiring young minds and contributing to the growth and development of the children in our care. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of our care and education programs across our Kids' Early Learning centres in consultation with the Director Child Care and other Kids' Early Learning team members.

Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Working towards or completion of a Bachelor of Teaching or other equivalent qualification
- Completion of Child Protection Course - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk of harm
- Current certificate HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Current certificate HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting or Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training certificate that meets requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulation 2018
- Working with Children Check clearance valid for paid work.
- Current NESA accreditation (Conditional. Provisional, Proficient accreditation).
Desirable:
- Previous teaching experience, particularly in a long day care setting, would be an advantage
- Current class C driver's licence
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
- Computer literate
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,566.49 per week
- 35-hour working week
- Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
- Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
This position has been identified as child related work, in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013.
