About the Role

 

The City of Ryde City Economy Team is looking for a person with intellectual disability to join their team.

 

The job we have is called a Project Officer.

 

The Project Officer will support the team with things like:

  • Making information for the City of Ryde
  • Being part of meetings
  • Giving support to events the team runs
  • Listening to stakeholders
  • Thinking of ways to help make things better for the community

 

We will give you training to learn all the things you will do in the job.

 

We will support you to do your job well.

 

What you need for the job

 

There are things and skills you must have to do this job.

 

You must have

  • At least your Year 10 school certificateOr
  • Completed the School Leavers Employment Support program.

 

You should want to make things better for businesses in the City of Ryde.

 

You should want to work on projects that do things like:

  • Give jobs to people
  • Support businesses
  • Make town centres more accessible.

 

You should know a bit about computer programs like Microsoft Word.

 

You should be able to talk to people in a nice way.
